History

Richard Cortez founded Metalcraft in 1986 upon his retirement from a twenty-six year career in sheet metal with Hewlett Packard. The company moved into its current production facility in 1994, and Rich’s son Ken Cortez was brought on as General Manager. Rich stepped back from the daily operations in 2001 and Ken, as President, took over running the company. After Rich’s passing in December of 2004, Ken is the company’s sole stockholder.
